My MIL and DD's middle name is pronounced Al-ana. My MIL gets really cross when she gets Alar-na.

what would be a nickname for Alarna? i like Allanna for the fact it can be shortened to Anna ( and its my sisters middle name, it came from my pop Allan) thats how its spelt, and pronounced Al-anna. maybe i should change the spelling to Alanna

All-arna. For a nickname I would say Ali or Lani.
    It's a pretty name!

It depends on where you are from,

Australians are very nasal in their tone, so we would say 'All-arna'

    Nicknames would be larni, ally...
