Default What book did you get from Gov Reading Program?

Just wondering if we all received the same book or a variety?

Hugh was given a book called "Baby Baby".
We also have the "Right From The Start" book which he can see the shapes on the pages.

The CYH nurse brought it out with her when she did a home visit.

She brought a few things from the Advertiser Little Big Book Club too- library bag and growth chart. She did say some of it was from the library.

I just assumed the book was part of Mr Rann's literacy program and all SA babies received a book at birth. When was your baby born? My nephew missed out and he was born in Sept.

    Hmm, I'm not sure then.
Love to hear if others received anything at all then.

I'm the same as BND - my bub was born in April and we got the "Right from the Start" book.

I think it's a great little book.........and the baby on the front cover is sooooo cute

You just need to go to the Library ( some want you to show your blue book ) and say you would like a bag. You get a grow chart, cd on how to read to children, and a book 'baby baby'

    Good Luck

Yeah, a friend told me to take my blue CYH health book in to our local Library and ask for my free book for the Young Readers Club (or whatever!!) and I got the Baby, Baby book, too! That was only about three weeks ago and DD was born last November! They only had two bags left, so I'm glad I went when I did!! You might be lucky. Your local Library might have more than mine.

Mummy Johnno and Nan what you said makes complete sense. I must have had one bought out to me though as I live 300kms from the library.

Thanks guys.........I walked down to my local library today (battling that crazy wind all the way!) and picked up my freebie bag for Gemma.

It's called The Little Big Book Club.
