    Don't think it's relative at all ... I lost 15kg and had a 13lb 2oz baby!

I really dont think they are linked at all.

My DM always told me I'd "balloon to the size of a house" when I had a baby cos I've always had trouble with my weight and I was 10.5lb.
I put on less than 10kg and didn't look preg from the back. DS1 was 4.48kg and DS2 was 4.79kg.

Then I have friends who put in 20-30kgs and had 2-3kg kids. I think the two things are mostly unrelated!

    DH: 30
    DS: 3
    DS: 9weeks

    Dont think its relative.
When I had my second daughter, their was a lady loudly bragging to everyone that she was huge for 40weeks and that she was probably going to have a 10lb as she was so huge.
She was adamant it was going to be a wopper.

Later that day she returned to the ward very sheepish. She actually had a 5lb baby at 40weeks!

    I put on 11kg with DS and he was 4.4kg (9lb 10oz), and 55cm long. I don't think it's related.
