Is anyone else disappointed with the Olympic coverage?

How awful is the channel 9 coverage of the winter olympics? 3 hours during the day????

I have relented and purchased the foxtel package for $65 which I said I was never going to fo, but thanks to the cr@p coverage, it's the only way to see any decent events!

It would seem that Foxtel have the only good coverage so it's watch that or nothing at all unfortunately. I'm not big on the winter olympics so didn't bother, haven't watched a single event this year, but if it's the same for the summer olympics I will be buying the foxtel coverage.

yep!
but they always ruin the olympics!
you get to watch half a event before they interupt it with some dribble then watch the same "olympic glory" clip over and over and over
and if we dont have any one in the event then youve no chance of seeing a final!

YES!!!! I love figure skating but there is no way I am staying up to watch the highlights with Eddie Maguire (sp??)

It's only cause we aren't a strong contender unlike the Summer Olympics so they figure no one is going to watch

My hubby and I cannot stand Leila lazy eye Mckinnon. What is she doing there???? She has no idea what she is talking about and is so annoying. It is just because her husband is the manager at channel 9 she gets these gigs. So frustrating.

I really wish we would of forked out the $50 for the Foxtel coverage. My parents did and it's amazing!! They see so much more and it's all mainly live and even though there are quite a few ads on all 4 foxtel channels, it still beats channel 9's crappy coverage.

Eddie McGuire does my head in.

How much longer does it go for?? I am thinking of calling foxtel and paying for it, I managed to get the boys interested earlier today and now is off again

I think they are doing a horrible job because then more people will get Foxtel.

It has been horrible without fail EVERY SINGLE YEAR since I have come to Australia. I just don't bother watching it anymore
