sorry for your loss my heart goes out to u

This is becoming way to common and it needs to be a state wide policy nobody deserves to be treated like that i hope the formal investigation brings some much needed answers to your family xoxo

TrulyBlessed - I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about your son. I just read J's birth date when I went into the Due in March thread to check in on what everyone had. We were due in the same month.

I think you're a very brave and courageous woman to put pen to paper and share your story. I hope you succeed in making a difference for other woman out there.

For 5 years, I thought that having our son at 20 weeks and not having an answer as to why he was taken from us, made everything so much harder. I thought this until we lost our daughter at 10 weeks last year.

With our son, we had support from the nurses, hosptial and my Ob which helped me so much with the healing and grieving. Everything you mentioned as to what the hospital could have done, was done for us, including the head nurse standing and talking to me at night for hours after my husband had left and when I was alone.

With our daughter, I went in for the D&C and went home. In saying that, the nurse who admitted me was so fantastic and let me tell my story and gave me a hug and her shoulder to cry on. I am grateful that they found out she was a girl so we could name her.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that after a loss, we hold on to what little memories we have of the baby that was once inside us. I am so sorry TrulyBlessed for what you went through and am so hopeful that you will turn your negative experience around.

I will buy an extra teddy this year for my annual TLC contribution and tie a blue ribbon around it in memory of 'J'.

Take care and best of luck!
