Elijahs Mum (18-04-2016)
I was trying to remember the baby clothes thread when I posted earlier. That was gold.
My poor MIL brought a cake over for DH birthday. DS refused to eat it, said, "I can't like that cake" and proceeded to eat a carrot.
Thankfully it was shop bought cake. I was still slightly mortified, but also trying not to snort at the idea of poor MIL lamenting to her friends about her poor grandie being raised on horse food.
I honestly can't see what the issue is. My kids hate mc Donald's as we didn't take them when really small so they can take it for the rubbish excuse for food that it is. Actually they do occasionally eat the chips maybe once / twice a year if we're travelling and can't find an alternative. I always peel carrots but my 9 year old prefers them unpeeled. The woman was having a latte there? So not sponging wifi from poor old MacDonald's! They want that to happen, the playgrounds etc is all to lure kids into eating their junk. I hate mc Donald's!!! I used to eat as a kid. I would let my kids have occasionally if they wanted now they are old enough. But I hate the fact they are everywhere and just get people hooked from so young with their cheap sh$$ and playgrounds etc. I know Australian maccas isn't as bad as U.S. at least but I read about the buns on the burgers having so much sugar it's like having lollies. Maccas could probably make headway into the global obesity problem if they started making healthy food with quality ingredients but that wouldn't make them so much money and get everyone hooked!!
I'll get off my soap box now I know lots of people love maccas and I know in moderation it's not evil I just hate the corporation.
