Default shreiking... PLEASE tell me it's just a phase

DD (11 months) has always been very vocal with high pitched screams and yells, but over the past week or so she has been shreiking a really high pitched squeal almost constantly and it is starting to do my head in! Most of the time she looks happy enough while she's doing it (ie she doesn't look like she is in pain).... Is this a phase that all LOs go through? Please tell me it's a short and isolated phase??

Oh, yes, normal. And painful for those who have to listen. She's found something new she can do with her voice, and it's FUN!!!

    It will pass.

hahaha my 10 month old DD has been doing the exact same thing... its hard to take her out in public cause her screams get us funny looks, or she screams when everything is meant to be quiet lol. Little rascal
