Default any connection with birth weights?

this might sound like a stupid question, but i need to ask lol

my number 1 weighed 7 pound 7 (3.51kg) when she was born, is it likely that number 2 will weight the same or less? or is it just a 'chance thing'?

To be honest I think its all chance

My first was 6 pound 15, my second 6 pound 14.5 so I was one of the lucky ones.

My sisters started at 8 pound and got smaller with each baby - number 4 was only 4 pounds.

Yet my best friend started with a 6 pounder - next baby was 9 pound and she is due to have number three in next couple of weeks and doctors think this one is small as well.

    It's all a chance thing.

My first was 3.95kg (2 weeks late)
Second was 4.26kg (2 weeks early)
Third was 2.95kg (1 day early)

Both of my sisters children weighed 7 pound 4 ounces, one was 2 weeks early and one was exactly on due date.

    i had

    DS1 8pd 6oz (1 day early)
    DS2 8pd 12oz (9 days late)

I think if they had been born at the same gestation DS1 would have been the bigger bub!

also, it depends if its the same father, or a different one, mums weight gain during pregnancy (DS1 i put on 24kg, DS2 i lost 7kg - both from my start of preg weight)
    DS1 - Brayden Robert - 25th October 2005
    DS2 - Harlan Daniel - 2nd May 2008
and introducing Kaizen Marshall - 29th May 2010
