    Question Cold and Flu

My regular GP said I cant take anything for colds and runny noses except panadol and vicks. How do you get over cold/flu naturally. Everyone tips and advice would be lovely!

I had the flu the worst I have ever had it this winter gone, and it was so annoying not being able to take anything!

At night my nose was really blocked, so I used a humidifier with eucalyptus in it, and before I was able to borrow that I was using a saucepan with boiling water and eucalyptus.

The Vicks inhalers were good for me to use at work or when out.

And someone at work recommended peppermint tea with some honey and sipped really slow, which did help me feel less stuffy, but as I am not a tea drinker, the taste just made me feel nauseous.

I hope you start to feel better soon, it is so hard being sick when you can't take anything for it.

Chicken noodle soup is the best mmmmmmmmmmmm dont make me start craving that Boooo hahaha

Def keep up the fluids & rest up! not too much else you can do about it atm which sucks i know stress can make the immune system lower which could be why you have been sick! if all else fail steam up the bathroom & walk in there, will help clear the nose

I dont take cold and flu tablets etc as I find they make my colds last longer. Lots of orange juice and water, garlic is good too, and just waiting it out, your immune system will get there eventually. Colds in summer suck dont they I have one at the moment
