    Default Numb

    I had a C-section back in August.
Above and below the incision sight about 4 cm either side is numb.

Is this normal or am I just weird?

If your weird then I'm weird too. I also had a c-section in August and theres a patch above the scar that is totally numb, I guess it just takes a while for the nerves get back to normal?

No idea why but your not the only one.

Wonder if feeling ever comes back

    I've had 2 c-secs.
One 5.5 years ago and one 7 months ago.
My 1st was numb for at least at year (if not more) and never gained 100% feeling. My 2nd is still numb around it (and red, bumpy).
All the nerves have been sliced and need to reconnect (if they can!)

My 1st scar was so perfect and you could hardly see it...hope my 2nd ends up the same!

Mine started off numb and is now now sensitive to touch but not painful. My scar has healed perfectly considering the mess and bruising I had afterwards from an emergency c-section late April.

I didn't have a caesarean section but I still have a numb spot a few inches above my belly button the size of a 50c piece from my pregnancy 8 months ago.

14 months here and varies between numb and incredibly itchy. It's awful!

I've had two caesars, 18 months apart... the last one nearly 18 months ago.

I still have some numbness... but only a little bit, but what is left I imagine will be permanent.

Your suture line will return with a bit more feeling over time, but you will likely have at least a little bit of numbness in the long term.
