I think it's great having large families, unfortunately not many people are as enthusiastic about it as others are. I think you are awesome And from your ticker you have twins too?? My mum had 4 kids, but was pregnant 3 times (i'm a twin). So just say you wanted to be pregnant four times, but you got a bonus on your third, so you wanna have another! Plus, it's noone's business really, glad at least your mum and nan are happy about it!

Default No 5 is Alive !

Be happy - When we had 4 bubs - i constantly felt that we were missing one or had lost one...Our 5th little man has been such a wonderful completion to our family.....and the funny thing is now he can talk he insists he will be the baby forever and we are to have no more babies !

I received no support and No one was happy for me with any of the babies - be happy and best of luck !

What is it with these people and their unwanted opinions? I get the same all the time. We have 4, but want to have 2 more. When I tell people this they look at me with this stupid look on their face. Then comes the barrage of one liners..... "how can you afford that?.....Haven't you got enough? .....Aren't you being greedy?...... Don't you & hubby own a TV?...

You name it I've had all of them. I even ran a general question about a VBAC past my GP the other day and she assumed I was pregnant and said "well hang on another few days to see if your periods come and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you'll get them by Friday" I was speechless (which in my DH opinion is a rare occurance!).

When I was pregnant with #4 I felt as though I had to make out to everyone that it wasn't a planned pregnacy so they would get off my back. I regret this so much now, I should have had the guts (literally ...lol!) to stand up to them, but sadly I didn't.

Don't be like me, stand up to them and tell them their opinions suck, they aren't useful so therefore should be kept to themselves.

I heartily agree with you mum0f4
I have 6 children, (4 at home) and recently discovered I'm expecting lucky 7. (2nd marriage - blissfully happy)
Initially I got onto this site searching for VBAC info, but I have found much more & I'm glad I came across this thread.
I thought it was only me, and I'm guilty of the same thing - pretending not to have planned. (Although not all mine were planned. But unplanned doesn't mean unwanted!)
Its amazing the way some people think & how rude they can be, seemingly without even realizing.

Yes it can get stressful, yeah you may winge about not being able to pee alone & it gets lonely when your friends stop calling because you can't go out as much or they don't want to come around cause your house is noise and chaos, but don't all parents have a winge now and then? I still wouldn't change anything for the world...
General opinion to some of the few I've had the guts to tell is automatic "are you going to keep it?" Like I just found a stray cat that nobody wants!!! They can all take a long jump off a very short bridge!!!

Even the treatment you get in hospital whether its on your visits or on the ward (apart from a few nice ones) is judgemental & operate under some misguided assumption that your 4th, 5th, 6th or heaven forbid 7th baby and birthing experience is not as special & unique as if it was your first.
This is part of the reason I'm considering a homebirth with somebody who is paid to be supportive! (Just have to find someone willing to do VBAC3 & convince DH that I can do itlol)

WOW I really vented a bit there , sorry, better leave it at that hey? LMAO Every family is special no matter how many members, so you go girls & best of luck!

Congratulations!!!! Large families are just wonderful!! Ignore what other people say, they obviously are family orientated like yourself.

In the meantime, check out this site, lol.
