    Default Have you.....

or would you, use an overnight baby sittter if you wanted to go out one night and you had no -one else to mind yout kids?

I know I may be in a position in the future where I have no-one to babysitter my DD (been a single mum) and an occasion may come up where mummy wants a night out

Just interested in peoples experiences and thoughts on leaving your child with a hired babysitter.

i have thought about it before but have never used one as i was able to find someone to look after DS. i dont think there is anything wrong with it however they can be quite expensive. does your DD go to daycare? if so, could you maybe ask one of the staff there?

    good luck with it
i cross all bridges with joy and ease.

I think it would be great for you to be able to do that and get some you time.

Personally I know that I would never be able to trust someone I dont know with my child overnight.

OK, this wasn't quite "overnight" but another family and us went on a hoiday to Noosa and the adults wanted a night out so we hired a babysiter from an agency to look after our three kids, and put them to bed.

She did craft and stuff with them, supvised their dinner, and put them to bed, and they were all fine.

The only hiccup was whwn we got home and she expected me to fill out a form to say we were pleased with her service etc and she didn't like at all that I refused to fill it out until the next day after the kids had woken up so I could see what their impression of her was.
