    Question Police Cake??

My son's second birthday is coming up and I really want to make him a Police Themed Cake. I've googled and tried to come up with my own with no luck. Has anyone seen anything or done one?

I'm not creative enough to make it up myself. I though maybe run Police Tape around the edges and decorate the top with a matchbox car and a his Lego Police man and write Happy Birthday Aidan. But it seems boring to me. I did an awesome cake for his first birthday I wanted this to be just as awesome. Especially because now he knows what cake is .

    Thanks Awesome ideas

Haha definitely don't want a crime scene cake LOL I saw a few of those online and thought hmmm no.

I wanted to do a police car but I can't find anything and I don't feel comfortable winging it. Although I do have a workmans hat design that I could turn into a police cap. I could use the tap and DH has a ripped Police Shirt and I could take the badge off it. I did really want a car though.

If you wanted a wags cake I finished one a couple of hours ago. My little boy is 2 tomorrow.
I always get the kids colouring books or a sticker book or look at the colouring pages on the net. They always have something. I went tot he masks on the wiggles site and drew it up on white paper and then cut out my cake from there iced it and added what I needed to.

Naww thanks for googling for me. That's awesome! I've done up a very rough sketch that I like but I'm not sure. I think because I really wanted the car. I can bake and decorate just about anything if I have instructions so that's the issue for me now. There isnt enough detailed instructions and pictures of the process. I must be dumb .

So far I have 3 square cakes stacked on each other. Bottom blue, middle white, top blue. At the base of each square I'll decorate as the police tape. On the side of the big bottom one I'll write Happy 2nd Birthday Aidan. The middle one on the edge I'll use Aidan lego Police man and Criminal and have the Police man arresting the criminal with his Poilce Puppy next to him. On the top layer I'll put his lego Police car complete with the flashy lights. Does that make sense??

    What do you think?

I'm not convinced if I'll do it yet. I'll see what DH thinks when he gets home from work, I'm sure he'll love it though. I was thinking for the Police squares I could melt white chocolate and die some blue and then cut them into squares that way it will be easier than icing squares.

Ahhh I think I like the idea more and more LOL. I love brain storming, thanks for helping everyone.

Oh and Mummy2R&K I was going to do a Mickey Cake for Aidan's first birthday but we had a beach theme so I did this: http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...47883_7255.jpg My Mum is really good too but I call my sister because she has more patience than Mum and I .
