Default strength on legs at 7.5 mnths

    I am worried
My little girl is 7.5 mnths and all the sites say that should should bounce up and down on their feet whilst being supported.

My baby doesnt like to even put her feet down she just sits when I try and do it.

    Should I be worried?

DS1 could put his weight on his legs at a very early age, but DS2 would never ever do it! He didn't start pulling himself up on furniture until he was around 7 1/2 months old, but he was taking his first steps at 10 months (2 months earlier than DS1!)

I don't think you have anything to worry about....some babies just aren't comfortable with it yet!

My DD is just 8mths (yesterday actually) and she has only just started putting weight on her legs in the last week. She will get up onto her knees when she is crawling, but wont pull herself onto her feet...very different to DS who was trying to stand about a week after he started to crawl.

I wouldn't worry just yet...one bub I know didn't crawl til he was 12mths and didn't even try to stand til he was close to 18mths, which was when he started walking.
Big Brother ~ 7yrs...wishes he was 10 LOL

Baby Brother ~ way closer to 2yrs than I'd like.

babies do things at their own pace. there was a little boy born the day before my dd and i heard from his grandma yesterday that he isn't even crawling yet. my dd has been walking since 8 months and she was crawling at 31/2 months. as long as they seem happy i would stress too much. it is easier to look after a child that isn't getting into everything all the time. i would have loved a baby that just layed around for another couple of months. we kinda skipped all that lovely little baby stuff - we went right to toddler.

i wouldnt worry she will do it all when she feels ready to
my ds is quite strong and was trying to "stand" with help (holding his arms) at age 6months. he crawled at 6 months but didnt walk till 10 months.

dont feel bad if your bub isnt doing something the development stuff says bub should be doing, they are just guidelines and they dont remember that each bub is different and special
