I read somewhere once that you need to breastfeed at least 6 times a day to keep the supply going, so that the milk doesn't "dry up". Is this true??? My baby is 3 months old, and feeds four hourly, but won't feed from 8pm until 8am (he sleeps straight through). So therefore, he only feeds four times a day.
I thought this would just mean that my supply will adjust accordingly, but now after reading that i'm worried.
Does anyone remember how many times a day their 3 month old fed? Is it okay for a baby that age to sleep for 12 hours straight?

I thought my supply was drying up as I had to express the other day for the first time and could only get 50ml. it took days to get 150ml enough to satisfy her with a bottle. Funny how they can get way more than we think.
