Default The weird things your child is scared of

I heard a segment on the radio yesterday about the weird things that make your child flip out,

Their example was a baby boy who flipped out over the 'ding' from the microwave when it's finished

DD has a weird thing if I put her in pants with spots on them.
She gets mad at the spots and starts slapping at them, and sometimes cries until I throw a blanket over her pants so she cant see the spots anymore.
    I love it

Anyone else got some stories to share?

Not so much scared of, but she flips out over strange things, like if we borrow a book from the library and it has even a tiny tear in one page she has to return it, she can't even have it in the house and she also has to make it very clear that it was like that when we borrowed it. She told the librarian "I'm returning this book early because I do not want damaged books in my house and it wasn't me who damaged it, someone else left it like that for other people to borrow"

when kt was younger if i sneezed when i was bfing her the bottom lip would come out and she would start screaming.... was soo strange. But if my Dh sneezed (and hes loud) she would smile at him!!
the latest thing was a bday card dh got. it sung the birdie dance when you opened it, we showed it to her, and out came that bottom lip again and lots of tears...
but if a mssive truck goes past whilst she is leeping, or my mobile phone rings (just happened) she sleeps through the WHOLE thing kids are strange

DD has weird thing at the moment about dust or a peice of string or something on the floor. She starts screaming out that its yucky and gets upset until I get rid of it. I find it really hard not to laugh. I think she has got it from my mum though because if she picked up anything off the ground my mum automatically freaks out and says "don't touch its yucky". that was a funny segment. DS is scared of the static on TV, you know the black and white jumble, everytime it comes on he runs far and fast. And the other day he acciedentaly set off the hand dryers in the toilets, this got the same reaction.

Skye is scared of Map from Dora the explorer. She doesn't scream but she hides behind me and sometimes cries a bit. Poor girl.

She's also scared of drains outside. When we were walking from the carpark to the shops we had to go over a drain and she wouldn't move.

coop is absolutely petrified of cats. he doesnt like being anywhere near them, not even kittens. awhile ago, we went to see if a friend was home and they werent but their cat saw us so started approaching. coop saw the cat from the other end of the yard and he had the tightest grip on my legs. once the cat got really close, he had to be picked up and started crying tears the poor little mite. we then went outside the gate, i put coop down and the cat followed us on teh other side of the fence, my legs were gripped tight yet again.
i cross all bridges with joy and ease.
the "old" unfolds into wonderful new experiences.

DS1 is terrified of Billy Connolly.
Runs away if the ING ad comes on tv and tells us he is frightened.

Cobey's petrified of the toilet deoderisers that dangle in toilets. It's hugely embarrassing when we go out and there's one in there - he screams like he's being murdered and rips it out () I've worked out he's afraid of it falling in.
