Hmmm, if you're dehydrated, poweraide is really good at rehydrating you. It does it through replacing essential salts that you may have lost through exercise, or illness if you're using it for morning sickness or recovery from gastro etc.
So if you're not dehydrated you're getting a massive dose of salt that you don't need, which is not good.
If you really are dehydrated then drink it, but only half a bottle a day (as a whole bottle is actually 2 servings), and make sure you keep your water up afterwards. Only do it for as long as you need to though, to get rehydrated again, ie 2 - 3 days.

alot of sports drinks arent recomended for pregnant women and they say it on the label. i generally stay clear of all sports drinks during pregnancy as i cant stand the taste when i'm preg lol

I don't know if they are or not, but while I was PG I used to have them all the time
You buy a litre of Hydralite from the chemist. They will be able to tell you if you can drink it during pregnancy.

Hi
I found that Gatorade helped me during my morning sickness. I asked my DR if it was OK to take and he said yes. I bought the powder from Coles and was having about 3 glasses a day (just a teaspoon in a glass of water - not the scoop they provide).
Hope this helps,
Annie
try some lucozade - i loved that and it comes in different flavours now, although sometimes i can only find them at the supermarket.

A lot of sports waters contain vitamin A which needs to be avoided during pregnancy, so just check the labels first.
I've read that powerade is bad during pregnancy
But gatorade is okay
Dont know if thats totally factual tho![]()
