Default How long will it take?

I know that nobody is going to be able to give me a precise answer to this, but just a general idea would be good. I'm trying to get DS out of his wrap and have bought a Woombie which has him all enclosed but his arms are free to move about inside the wrap rather than them being tightly held. I think this is going to be a good transition to the sleeping bag as he wasn't coping with it at all.

I just wondered if someone can give me an idea how long it might take for DS to get used to having more movement with his arms? I put him in the Woombie after his dreamfeed, and he's pretty awake but he'll put himself off to sleep for the night without any dramas (so far!). Day sleeps are a different story though and his arms really seem to bother him. Yesterday I very nearly put him back into his old wrap but had to remind myself that it would take him time to adjust and I couldn't expect him to just sleep perfectly straight away.

We've been using the Woombie since Monday lunchtime, so still early days but will it take him days, weeks or months to get used to the movement?

with my DS i went cold turkey from the wrap into a sleeping bag.

it took about 2-3 nights of having to get up and resettle him, but i figured id be getting up anyways because he was unwrapping himself before anyways!

i used a sleeping bag for a month or so, but have stopped now, as it seemed like he was getting tangled in it when he would roll around the cot.

oh i got him used to day naps without wrapping first, then did nights as well.

good luck! hope its a smooth transition for you!

I LOVE my woombie One of the best things I've bought.

I found it when DS2 was around 3 months old, so can't remember how long it took him to get used to it sorry.

DS3 was in it from the day he came home.

I would just persevere, he'll get the idea.
