    Default Falls in the cot

My 7 month old DS has just started pulling himself up standing in the last week so I lowered his cot base. However he is falling over in his cot and bashing his head on the sides. I also just cam into the room to find hm standing with 2 feet stuck in a gap and between the rails and matress. Did this happen to your chilren what did you do to stop it?

My DS1 was the clumsiest kid ever and constantly knocked himself in the cot. He also did the legs through the bars too. He stopped doing it after a couple of weeks of screaming though. Good luck on finding a solution until he learns how to avoid it

DD was older when she started doing these things and learnt her lesson quickly. I don't know if because he's so young he doesn't grasp it yet because we've had quite a few falls in the last couple of weeks.

It seems to be a personality thing too. DS1 was in everything, always doing things before he 'thought' and crashed into everything or fell over his feet. DS2 was a lot more cautious (and still is) so he didn't have nearly as many falls. Hopefully Austin will learn a little quicker than my boy did because he was still falling and bumping into stuff when he was 3. He did stop sticking his legs through the bars early though LOL.

Oh dear I hope so too. I know I shouldn't laugh but when I came in and saw him stuck with that look on his face I did want to laugh.
