The last few days i have been really itchy all over and just now i went to have a bath and noticed i have weird red blotches all down my arms/legs/back/hips and patches of dry, flaking skin?
Could this be a pregnancy related thing?
Any ideas?

How's the serenity?
It sounds like eczema - which can come or get worse during pg. Hormones can do lots of weird things to your skin actually.
Could be eczema, i have suffered with it throughout my life and it did flare up on my thighs this pregnancy.
I think i was just shocked to see so much - it does look and feel like eczema.
Stupid hormones *sigh*

for the next week try only washing with qv wash and have a bath with their bath oil too, it helped me a lot.

Moo Goo is wonderfully soothing if you can find some ... bit expensive though. I got my tub at Vitality Health Foods who have shops in Brisbane and Ipswich.
ETA: I checked the list of ingredients and they do have milk proteins in there, so you need to be careful of your triggers as per Tami's warning below.
Works a treat on DD2s dry patches, though.

With the moo goo, though, you need to be careful if you've got a milk/soy protein intolerance (I do which is part of the reason I get eczema). If you cross react to other animal dairy proteins (ie sheep, goats etc) then it's best to stay away.

I think we need to start an itchy red rash group
I know how you feel. I'm 20 weeks and I too have developed a really burning and itchy blotchy rash over my stomach and legs. Doctors think it's an allergic reaction????
There is a pregnancy related condition called PUPPS. I just googled it and the rash looks exactly like mine. I've got an appointment tomorrow so I'm gonna ask about it.

Hi, just wanted to add that itching can be a problem, the Pupps thing mentioned previously. I had it with my last pregnancy - the itching I mean, and had a blood test to rule anything out.
Good luck!
