Default DD has dry skin on face

DD is 10 weeks old and has very dry skin on her face. Is there anything I can do for her? What is safe to put on her skin? It looked so dry and irritated.

Make sure all traces of milk have been wiped off after feeds/posits. Also, this is often a sign of allergies so you may want to start experimenting cutting things out of your diet if you are BF to see if that makes a difference. DS had some mild allergies that also gave him a bit of dry skin. We were told to put sorbaline on it but you can also put your babies usual moisturiser on it or bepanthan. They all worked for us.

At this age I only ever used olive oil from the chemist - worked better than cream and gentler on the skin

She's FF and we haven't changed her formula lately, but DH has recently said he has problems with cow's milk. I'm going to talk to the CHN today at Mother's Group about what formula we should use.

My DS has dry skin all over his face & horrible cradle cap!!

The best thing is olive oil, but it stinks & it makes their hair all greasy (if they have hair!)

Might be his formula...never thought of that!!
