Baby sorbeline, works well on Em's skin since she was a tiny bub. She suffers very dry areas and I rub some on a few times a day and it soon clears up and is soft again![]()

Chemical free stuff! Stay away from most stuff you get in the supermarket, look for things free of SLS, propylene glycol, other yuckies. Aromababy is good, as is Gaia Organic. Also there is probably little need for frequent bathing, and absolutely no need for saop and bath bubble stuff or baody wash. All it will do is strip her newborn skin of natural oils - and make it dry.![]()

thanks for the suggestions, shall pass them on.
what about alpha keri products?

I have not used Alpha Keri products before, but if I recall correctly they do contain some nasties. (But I realise that is not important to all people) The best thing to do is keep away from any washes and soaps, as this will certainly strip the skin of oils and not allow it to produce its' own.

Good old sorbelene is fine - and cheap.
Alpha Keri and similar (ie hamiltons) say they're good for baby skin - but to tell you the truth I didn't find them much chop with mine (I have REALLY dry skin, with eczema etc), so I would hesitate to use them on my DD's skin.
I'd just tell your brother to go easy on the baby wash - its not necessary, good old water is fine. And to use sorbelene.

I think it is best to avoid cream on dry skin as sometime they can sting. I always use paw paw ointment. It is fantastic stuff.
Just thought of something - I know that sodium laurel/laureth sulfate is one of the nasties to avoid, as its actually an irritant, and from memory, both Alpha Keri and Hamiltons have it.

I have to agree with what has already been said, I was told not to use the baby wash every day with the little bubba, especially on their head. I hope that it clears okay.
