Hello wise mums-
We keep finding our 2 year old boy with no clothes or nappy and wet in his cot after a day sleep and now during the night. DH and I will go in as soon as we know that he's asleep and check that he's got everything on still. I snuck off to do a bit of bub-hubbing yesterday- when I checked in on him he had stripped off and peed on the lounge room floor - phew, it's tiled (our entire house is!).
I don't know whether he is taking off his nappy because it's wet and uncomfy or because he wants to pee without it on... If I could ascertain his motive then life would be much easier!
His language skills are in that flat-out, 6-new-words-a-day phase, but no talk about wees or poos or if he's wet or dry yet. Occasionally he was come to me with the nappy saying 'ta' as if I asked for it off!
So- am I seeing signs of toilet training readiness? We are more then happy to wait a lot longer, we're in no rush and want it to be as stress-free as poss for both him and us. But we are sick of finding DD, floors and cot all wet. what steps do we take from here?
