    Default Prams/Strollers: which brand

Husband and I are going baby shopping at the beginning of October, for prams and other accessories.
When I go shopping I have this habit of looking at other prams and sometimes asking mothers what they think of them.
    Some brands are:
    ·Peg Perego
    ·Maclaren
    ·Lovencare
    ·Bugaboo
    ·Chicco
    ·Combi
What pram do you have and why do you like it? Would you recommend it?

I have a peg perego and I would recommend it. It is very practical (surely designed by a woman) and durable. It is over 15 years old (we were given it third hand) and still in fantastic condition. If we ever buy a new pram (am thinking of getting a two seater) I will get a peg again.

I wouldn't buy a pram simply based on the 'Brand' I would research and get a pram that suited all (or as many) of my needs.

I have got a new pram on layby, a BeBe Care one which suits all of my needs (though is a little heavier than i'd like) and fitted well into our budget. I did a Google search for prams and read a LOT of reviews about them before deciding on a couple of different ones, which I then went and looked at/played with in real life before finally deciding.

I am also reading a lot of reviews over the internet. So far, I know that I would like something that is lightweight with a reversible handle.

I've got the city mini jogger. I bought it on special for about $400 but they go up to $900 for the upgraded model. I like it because it's very light and easy to manouver and it folds really easy, there is a website on them to see.
The only thing I don't like is it doesn't have built in cupholders, but you can buy them seperate, and the carrier below isn't that big, but not sure how the others prams are?
I wouldn't buy a different one though, I'm still happy with it and don't struggle to get it in and out of the car, I can fold it and unfold it with one hand, which is handy when bubs is in the other.

Just something I picked up, rather than a reversible handle, go for a reversible seat. A reversing handle can mean that the pram is a lot harder to steer when the baby is facing you, but a reversible seat doesn't change the position of the seat

The pram I decided on is pretty light (11kg) compared to some, but like the PP I was looking at the Baby Jogger City Mini as it was so lightweight, though it doesn't face you.

The Bebe Care Rverse (the one I have on layby) is pretty good, the seat converts to a basinet so you don't have to buy it seperately, which I really loved.

We have a pram and a stroller.

why? because the shopping wouldnt fit in my boot with the pram lol. Probably something you should check before purchasing unlike us! lol

we have the Beema Q and i LOVE IT! i take it pretty much everywhere. and i love going for a walk in the arvo's so its great for that. We also have the bassinett attachment so when bubs was tiny she faced us and we also used that as a bassinett when we stayed over different places (which is fairly often as we live about 2-3hrs away from the closest family).

We bought the Steelcraft engima/profile (same just stroller) as a 2nd stroller to have in hubbys car in case he takes off with mine for the day! it has also come in handy if we have alot of groceries to get it all fits better with the stroller instead of the pram.

I was contemplating selling those two and getting a different one for when we have #2 bubs but have decided to use a sling instead and keep the beema cuz i cant bear to part with it

i have herd great things about the maclarens, and i looked at them but decided for a 2nd stroller the $$ it wasnt worth it.

Goodluck shopping! that was the fun bit

I have had many and Maclaren and Bugaboo have been the best so far, the others just don't compare.
