Default How do you work out your babies age?

Sorry if this has been asked!

    Hi girls,
just wondering do you work out your babies age by months on the calender, or by each week? Because obviously not every month has four weeks so do you say a month and a half or 6 weeks?

This is just what I do, I'm not saying it's 'right' cos I think everyone does it differently.

Generally if baby is 10 weeks, I tell people 'around 2.5 months'. Say baby was born on the 15th of the month and that falls the following week, then on that day I would say '2 months next week' etc etc - does that make sense?

I go by weeks, not months. It's easier to keep track of in my opinion. It also has helped me to remember certain things I need to do, NT scan (I didn't have it), GD test, etc.

With my first - I went by weeks. It's what the paed and CHN talked about. But I also found I had to convert that to months for others as they didn't really understand it well, unless they had a young bub themselves. I didn't talk in months until bub was about 6months.

With the twins, I knew when they were 3weeks.....and 5weeks and that's about the last time I knew their age in weeks. Days and weeks all blur together with 4 kids and I have aboslutely NO idea how old they are in weeks. They were 3months for a bit, then 3 1/2months, and have been almost 4 months for the last week (4months tomorrow) They were born on the 15th, and i split the month in half and work it that way.

There's the baby brain kicking in again. I read your post wrong, thinking pregnancy age not actual bub. I've done plenty worse and I'm sure there are still heaps of fried moments ahead
