I am about to change DD's daycare and I'm a bit worried. She has been at her daycare almost 2 years now and she is 3. I am particularly worried because we are inthe process of formally dx her with an autism spectrum disorder and she canbe a little upset with change. They recently moved her to the 3 year old room and while she loves the older children she has been crying at drop off ever since.
I am not really coping that well with her atm so I need to put her in daycare for 2 days rather than 1. However since we moved her old daycare is far away and if I put her in an extra day I have no one able to pick her up so need to move to a centre closer to home. I have been putting it off for the reason I stated fro a long time now I just need a break to get things done around here.
So how did you help your children adjust to change specifically if you had a special needs child. Also those of you who have worked in daycare how did you find a sn child coped with a new environment. The thought of her having a major meltdown everytime I take her is scaring me.
