    Default Bleeding After a caesarean?

I have had 2 natural deliveries & now 2 weeks ago I had a caesar.

With the other 2 babies I had heaps of bleeding post birth.
I understand its a little different after a caesar, but they didn't tell me at the hospital what to expect post delivery this time.

So basically, how long & how heavy was your post partum bleeding after a caesar?

Just trying to figure out what is "normal"...

    Cheers

After all 3, miminal bleeding. No need to use a maxi pad and had stopped by 3 weeks. They generally give you a good "clean" out after a c-sec, hence the minimal bleeding.

But if you have think your bleeding too much, it may be worth getting it checked out

My bleeding is crazy light!! I keep expecting to start bleeding again. I had period like bleeding for 3 days, then nothing. I keep wearing a pad just in case!

I had very heavy bleeding for 5 weeks after my caesarean. I got told mixed things about whether or not this is normal so I don't really know...

5 weeks, 5 days and counting. It was heavy for the first 3 weeks or so, and has slowly decreased to now just being spotting.

With both of my caesars I bled for 10-14 days, but I did keep a panty liner/pad on longer, as I always expected the bleeding to restart.
It is normal to still bleed for 6 weeks post c/s.

I was breastfeeding and my period didn't restart for 15mths.

I bled for a week quite heavily, wore maternity oads but probably only needed super pads then it stopped for a day then it started again and lasted an additional 5-6 weeks but it wasn't as heavy as a normal period for me, but my periods have always been really heavy...not what I expected thats for sure.
