    Default Buying MCN's off Ebay?

    Has anyone done it?
    Anything to look out for?
can anyone recommend a supplier or anything like that?

I've just noticed lots of things available on ebay and I realise that buying from Ebay could mean spending money out of Aust etc but I'd like to look into it all the same...

    ANy thoughts?!

    Hi..

Deffinatly do not go for the 'coolababy' brand.. think they are made in china!?

But I got some given as a pressie and they didn't even last a cple months b4 the waterproof backing started to come away, and they were used on rotation full time!

    Good luck

I'd only suggest making sure they have bamboo inside them - most of them seem to be made of terry - so they wont be very absorbent. In saying that you could always get some bamboo trifold boosters to put in them if you find them not be be effective. A good trifold bamboo booster usually is around the $10 mark each.

I've a friend using Pigs Bums - or Pigs something... I think they've been ok. I know that they are made near me (so in Australia)... oh now I remember the name Bush Pigs.

    Cheers

If you want to try other MCN's to start with most of the well known brands are on sale now. All you have to do is join the Great Down Under Nappy Hunt and you will be given a discount code. Good luck with it. Otherwise I agree with Olivia's Mumma. A good booster is essential with terry nappies. You can get some good bamboo ones with a stay dry liner layer attached. I think I saw some on the Nurture Nappies (google it) website =)

I would never buy MCN from ebay unless I actually know the brand. For example if someone was selling BabyBeehinds etc...

Most of the nappies for sale on ebay either don't state what materials they are made from, saying nothing more than 'waterproof' and 'absorbent' which could mean ANYTHING or they are something like terry or flannel which with too many layers would take forever to dry without really being all that absorbent.

I'd stick with websites like Monkey's Undies and Buy For Baby for auction sites when it comes to nappies as they are usually nappies being sold by other mums who no longer need them and the other websites for buying new nappies.
