Question nb then csec, what this time??

My first child was born naturally after being induced for being 10 days over. I had him from go to whoa in four hours. Unfortunately because of complications my little girl was brought into the world via c/sec before labour even had begun, she was also over due. I was wondering what I should do this time round? Personally I found that having a natural birth much better than the c/sec. This is a personal point of view only, it does help with such a short labour first time round. But because of the fact that I "overcook" my babies what this would mean with the scar tissue from the c/sec and if I would have a likelihood of rupture. My Doc really had no decisive or directive opinion.

Do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Given that you have had one natural birth, obviously anatomically you can do it. As for the 'overcooking', term is by description any time between 38 and 42 weeks gestation, so you technically have 14 days past your supposed due date. I will post you some links in reference to uterine rupture, and you can make your own mind up on that one, but the risk is quite minimal.

Uterine rupture is really only an issue if you have had a classical c-section or a full thickness myomectomy. Very few c-sections are classical ones so the risk is very very minimal. I have had both the above so i do not qualify for a vbac at all.

Your OB will monitor you carefully throughout the pregnancy, and you will be able to put off making a defintive decision until you are well into your third trimester.

    Good Luck with it all

It's totally up to you. I think if your Ob is happy with either option then you should choose whatever you feel most comfortable with
