I'm travelling alone with my DS to Beijing- he'll be 10months when we fly.

Anyone flown Cathay Pacific with baby? How was it? any tips/ suggestions (reassurance!!!)?

i have some basic questions too- am taking my maclaren quest with me- i've heard some airlines can be brutal with strollers. what can i do to minimise damage?

the flight leaves at 1am, and am hoping best case scenario, DS sleeps in stroller/baby bjorn while i check-in, do the immigration thing, wait at gates, board plane etc. (yeah right!) but apparently i will have to take him in and out of stroller at the security checks? will i have to do this if he's in a carrier/sling? is it better then to just check-in the stroller and not worry about it? also have a 45min stopover in HK on the way there...

bassinet is requested, but obviously not guaranteed- am i likely to get one? do you think a 10month old will sleep in it?
