Default Day Care Centre - fee policies

My sons day care centre recently increased the daily fee and I received written notification of this, which was fine. However, the director told me verbally that the sibling discount was being discontinued, but no formal notification in writing has come? I have asked several times for it (as Im not changing what I pay until I get it) and they have told me that nothing in writing will be coming and that if I dont pay they are going to ask me to remove my children!! Has anyone else has an experience like this, or can anyone tell me what the policy is??

I think they have to give it to you in writing. Tell them you need it because someone else (make something up) pays the fees for you.

    Sounds dodgy to me.

My son's day care centre never provides fee changes in writing to the parents - they just put signs up & that's all they do.

Do you need a formal written notification? If so, tell them why and they should understand and comply.

    Otherwise, maybe just pay it?

Or change centres if your unhappy with their service.

It does sound silly to me though, if they want you to pay more all they'd need to do is send you a notification, you're happy, they're happy, everything is fine.

child care centres dont have to send out notes of fee changes etc or other things they only have the obligation to ensure they display signs around the centre for all parents to be able to see and also for the staff/director to inform parents ( they dont techniccly (sp?) have to but most will. ( wel that is from me working in childcare in nsw and qld not sure about toher states)
