There is a guy going around putting in the paper (be it messenger or advertiser) that models are required. You ring a number and it goes to answering machine asking you to send a email about your details and a photo to an email address or postal address.
Then he contacts you.
He gets you really excited about the whole deal and puts it on you to send a family shot because business' wanted families. Then tries to hit you up for a photo shoot.
Unfotunately I did it but got really sus when he was pushing for the money up front (a direct debit into an account) After the 5th time of him calling I got sus and I decided to look his business up. NOTHING no listing. Looked him up on the google. Well he wasnt there but funny enough someone with the same initials as him was being hit up for money in the Consumer and Business Affairs in QLD. KEVIN JOHN SIMS. He wasnt using this name but when I asked for a name for the account for my direct debit (which I didnt do in the end) was K J SIMS a little too close for my account for all the mothers out there go with someone thats listed and check them out by asking for references then check them by ringing them up and asking whether they deal with the agency. If they do you know they are legit (this is what I was tole to do by business affairs in SA) because they should have nothing to hide.
Hope this helps all of you to do your homework first. I saved myself by gut feeling but if I can help others out too thats fantastic and I dont feel like I went through it for no reason.
