Default Hi... I'm in Kalgoorlie.. Partner works FIFO 2 n 1

Hi there, I was just wondering how other women cope with their partners away so much. We packed up and moved 650km from the closest family we had so that he could come home more often.. which has worked out to be the same amount of time as it was before. I don't know anybody up here. Have no support network of friends or family and I'm feeling really quite isolated to be honest. And to top it all off I lost our 3rd baby on monday and he buggered back off to work lol. I was hoping there would be some people in here who are from my area maybe? I could really do with some friends

Hope to hear from someone soon

Hi there, sorry for the loss of your baby it has been a couple of months since your post so i hope things a looking somewhat brighter

Its hard to be away from family, friends and be in a new place but the best thing you could do is try to make networks or connections with people, its hard putting yourself out there but maybe you could join a local gym or a sport class of some sort?? any short courses that are run in the town.. cooking, art, craft..
Im in the same situation and some times im so strong and it doesnt worry but sometimes I feel lonely and teary but I have to just keep going, continue to join groups and keep positive and never keep things bottled up!
Go ahead and join a group you'll enjoy it!

Well things are brighter depending on which way you look at it.... My partner and I split up last weekend so now I'm in the middle of nowhere with no partner... Altho I am feeling much happier and I have managed to make some friends up here
