hi my DS is 9months and he is breastfeed, he has been having trouble doing poohs.when he turned 3months he would go every 4 days, they said it was normally for a breastfeed, so i was ok with that. well he started eating solids at 7months. i tryied drops, sugar and water, prune juice and nothing helps. his bottom is bleeding when he does one (sometimes) when he is having trouble it is only enough that it's the size of a 5 piece. the docotor said just to give him mashed fruit that's not helping. can anyone help

. She cries every time she has to poop.... I saw our paediatrician on Monday and he said she can have coloxyl drops or actilax. The coloxyl drops she can have 3 times a day, or the actilax 2,5 or 10mls per day depending on its effect IYKWIM. He said to just try a small dose (2mls for eg.) and just titrate up until you have the desired effect. So far we are trying the coloxyl. He said that neither of these medications will cause a problem for her long term at all because they are just a softner and not a laxative. They just help to keep fluid in the bowel motion thus making it a bit softer and easier for them to pass. Maybe give them a go a see if it helps?? Goodluck. Constipation is just horrible. Breaks my heart when she needs to do a pooh. DD just wont push sometimes cos it hurts her...
Oh yeah, with DD she wont poop in her nappy either, I think because she cant get it out. I have to hold her over the toilet or the potty with her legs right up so that it will come out. Maybe this might help with your little ones??
