I like to call it the joys of being a prem parent. Its hard at time but oh so rewarding when they reach a milestone evan if its just an increase in feeds or a 30 gram weight gain.

Both my babys fed every 2 hrs I thought this is what babys did and when they got a bit older they went to 3 hrly feeds not that they were premmie or anything but if its the only way your bub will feed and put on weight then why not. As for sleep depravation I thought that was a normal part of being a parent. Also if the nurses at the hosp had the babies trained to 3 hrly feeds mabe give them a call and see what they suggest.

As previous posters have commented, this would be fine for a full term baby but not a premature baby as they use up too much energy and too many calories feeding so often, which could result in weight loss rather than weight gain.

Yes sleep deprivation comes with being a parents but we are parents to triplets so every thing is times 3!
Unless they are tube fed (cant do that at home) there is no way i can feed her every 2 or 3 hours, uses way to much energy.
