    Default Stress and pregnancy?

I am extremely stressed and upset about my fiance leaving me! I have been to hospital several times in the past week for check ups and to make sure my little baby is ok. I'm starting to accept my situation but still find myself hysterical at times, angry worried etc. I have Bi polar and am off all medication. I can't get my mind to stop!

I would never forgive myself if something happened to my baby because of how upset i am!

Does anyone have any strategies on keeping calm?

You sound as though you are going through a really tough time at the moment, lots of hugs to you!
Why are you off all of your medication?
Is there not something you can be on whilst pregnant?

The only other suggestions I have are yoga and meditation.

Sorry to hear that you are going through some bad times. Have you spoken with your doctors regarding your stress and anxiety? They should be able to help you, or recommend something to ease your mind. Maybe seeking help from a councilor or just having someone to talk to might help.

I agree with the last post too, gentle exercise is really good in getting rid of the bad stuff - even just a gentle stroll around the block. Or even a pregnancy massage may help you relax a little.

Do you have family that could help you out, just so you can have some 'you' time.

Have you thought about self-hypnosis? I've just been to my first session and we start with the visualisation next session, but it sounds like a wonderful way to focus on the positive energy and ignore all the negative (painful) energy. It not only helps during the birthing process but also in everyday life.

    I hope all goes well!

Sorry to hear you have had this happen I also went though my ex-partner leaving during my pregnancy of my 1st born it is very tough. You also have health issues making it just that little bit worse. I worked through it by focusing on my unborn child, my health and having constant unbias and unwaving help from someone who was willing to help either by just listen, given a hug, reality checks and most important complete trust which is not easy to give or recieve in this time of your life. So focus on you, your unborn child and use any available resourse to remain stress-free for both your sake. My thought will be with you.

Thanks guys! I'm trying so hard and i think iiiiiii'm doing quite well. It's been 6 days now and i still find myself crying and questioning everything but am really pushing myself to come to terms with the reality of everything.

It's just nice to know that people i don't even know have taken the time to care!
    Thank you all so much!
