    Hi Sam,

A general may not necessarily affect the regularity of your cycle however it is always wise to give the body sufficient time to recover and clear up the remnants of a general anaesthetic after surgery.

Anaesthetics can temporarily affect the health of cells and in an ideal world I’d normally recommend patients give themselves a good 120 days to prepare the body for conception (particularly after surgery)—you can find out more about this in my website’s blog. However if this is too long for you to wait I’d suggest giving your body the opportunity to clear itself out for at least one month before TTC.

    I hope this helps!
