Default I lost the plot last night...

And my DD just laughed at me
I am so embarrassed for flipping out last night. We have had a very bad week of sleep (up until 1am every night), and last night, I hit my limit...took DD out into the loungeroom, put her down with some toys, and yelled and cried so much I nearly vomited. And DD wasn't upset at all.
I can't keep on like this. Her sleep issues..all caused I imagine, by her Mummy feeding her to sleep for the last eleven months, have to change, or I am booking into the nuthouse. I know parents talk about lack of sleep, but this is beyond the pale. I don't need sleep to function, but I do not want to party with a baby all night after having to entertaining her all day long.

Gosh, I could so relate a couple of years ago! It was one of the most miserable times of my life and I felt ill and depressed all of the time. Chronic sleep deprivation is torture I just wanted to give you a big squishy hug and wish you some rest..hang in there ((((hugs)))

hi bubmum, do you want some suggestions for making changes with the habit of feeding to sleep?? I feel for you having such trouble with lack of sleep, but I dont want to 'tell' you what to do if you are just having a vent. Take care, Marie. hugs.

I'm sorry, don't feel too bad, we all have a melt downs.

If there someone who can help you with a new bedtime and night time routine?

Have you thought of a gentle self settling programe?
I can't go to bed, someone is wrong on the internet.

I had same problem with DS didn't sleep during the day or at night well either. i couldnt handel it anymore, went to my doctor who referred me to our local family care centre which had someone who came to your house to help with things like sleeping and settleing. Maybe theres something similar in your area.
Its amazing how great you feel with some sleep.

Thanks everyone..I am biting the bullet, so to say, and going to gently try and wean DD off the boob (ELizabeth Pantely method), but the biggy I am going to try is taking her to bed early. I think I just overtire my poor little baby out, so it's earlier to bed tonight. Oh, and I'm going to "play" with her more during the day, because she is a fun little baby. I luff her loads, not just in 10 hour stretches

And Marie, I will probably be checking in with for you some advice next week. I am not going to be too hard on her this week as we are spending most of the week away from home, so next week I am in military mode.
