Wollongong Child friendly places to stay

Hi guys
Not sure if this is the right place but we'll be going down to the 'gong in the next few weeks - I think. Aunt is dying. Anyhoo ... just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to stay for a few nights. Looking on the internet can be a bit confusing and the places can make it look really nice but when you get there hmm a whole other matter. I have a 4month old so need a place that is reasonably nice.
Any suggestions?? North Wollongong area would prob be the best. Thanks guys for your help

a place that doesn't mind us having a little bub. A friend of mine went on hols with her bub recently and was told that she shld have told them she was bringing a bub so that they cld put them further away!! "For their sake so the bub doesn't get woken up all the time" She said the ppl weren't very nice about it all.
not so nice hey.
Plus a place that cld supply a portacot.

Really? How horrid! We take DS everywhere with us and have stayed in all types of hotels up to 5 star and never had a word said to us. You should find most of them will meet those requirements North beach tends to be a pricier part of town. Are you driving or using public transport? (public transport bar trains is pretty sad around here tbh) and where do you need to get to?

There are a lot of new hotels built that last 2 or 3 years so for most of the known hotels you can't go wrong. I just had a quick squiz at wotif and the medina executive apartments were quite reasonable and close to everything (you could walk to a cafe etc) I would probably avoid the novotel unless it has had a revamp that I dont know of. Its ok but overpriced for what it. Ibis is nice and central too and not too bad a price. The best westerns are new too, rydges had a revamp, quest is new too...

I would probably avoid a few of the older style ones that tend to use the title motel. Some are in some less than favourable areas and not really suitable for where you want to stay

I know for sure that Novotel have portacots, but not much else about them- My sis is a room attendant there.
I thik Ibis only have bunk bed rooms, but I may be wrong?
