Question Did you try to "bring labour on"?

I was reading the thread about why people want to bring on labour etc, and got thinking, how many people actually tried to bring on birth?
If yes, when? and what did you do? Did it work?

    Will add a poll.

With DD I tried walking and sex from 41 weeks, nothing happened and I was induced in hospy.

This time, I am over it at 37 weeks, but have only tried nipple stimulation, and I am still here.

You know what, I deserve better. I will stand up and out of your shadow, I will feel the wind in my wings, I will learn to fly, you can stay and enjoy my freedom or leave, either way I was born to fly.

I was 3 days overdue and DF and I did some pretty full on bd'ing It worked. I woke up a few hours later with contractions. I kind of wish I had waited though. Maybe my labour would've been a bit easier...

Yep, I tried the raspberry leaf tea, walking, um, others but I can't remember now. I didn't try nipple stimulation though. I think next time I'm going to start expressing from about 40 weeks and I've read on here someone swear by walking in the gutter
Oh, James was induced at 16 days overdue.

Mass ammounts of lavender oil on my belly and back and sex got the contractions going. Walking made them stop.

2 days of small pains later the midwifes told me the baby was laying sideways - got me to lay with my feet in the air for a few minutes then get on my hands and knees and rock for 5 minutes - they told me this usually gets the baby completly straight - they said that most women will go on to have a fast labour - she said I would have a baby within 3 hours - I told her she was full of ****, walked outside and BANG the pain hit me - had my daughter in 2 hours (and seriously it wasn't even that painful)

My midwife told me she advises women to get on hands and knees and rock back and forth for a few minutes a day from 38 weeks as it gets the baby in perfect positon and usually means a easier labout.
