Default Prawns! With poo or without?

Sounds kind of gross - but someone told me that the brown strip down along the back of prawns is poo! Is it? I've always eaten it, but now I know what it is I'm not sure if I plan on putting that in my mouth...

Do you eat it or remove it?

yep, it's the digestive tract so technically poo. i like how some people refer to it more diplomatically as 'grit'.

I remove it, but it won't hurt you if you eat. Many restaurants never remove it. The thought of eating it is a bit
