Default Can you suggest me a good stroller?

    hi ladies!

I am looking to get a good reliable stroller before bub is born. I have a bugaboo chameleon pram which I absolutely love, but I am after a stroller for when I am just popping into the shops or something.

The bugaboo is great for walking and for when bub will need to be in a pram for a long time, but it is quite bulky and takes up a lot of room space. So I am after a lightweight stroller that is compact and easy to fold and fully lays back. I dont want to spend more that $300 if i can help it. I have heard Maclarens are good?

What about a City Mini (I think that's what they're called). A couple of women at my mothers' group have them. they look fantastic - they almost lay back all the way and you can fold them up with one hand, and they still look like a normal stroller. And it would be a good investment if you're going to travel with the baby at all as I think they're pretty light.

I looked at umbrella ones in Target once - the price seems to vary on how much you're willing to stoop over to hold the handles! My partner's 6'3" and he looked ridiculous!

I have a Strider (equally bulky to Bugaboo, and it was a bit of a hassle, but I loved being able to lay him down in the bassinette).

I found that if I needed to go somewhere quickly, I would just put him in the sling or carrier anyway, and would just use the pram for longer walks or if I had to carry something heavier.

Maybe a Maclaren Quest. It doesn't lay totally flat, but does recline. So suitable from about 3 months and is so light. I am sure for the first 3 months you will probably prefer to use the big pram.
I wish I was a glow worm as a glow worms never glum. Cos how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out your bum!
