Default Last of post baby kgs to shed!

    Hey, am new in here.
I probably don't have as much to loose as a lot of people, but am dying to be ridd of the left over post baby fat which is almost 5kgs for me.
Anyone else wanting/trying to shed the left over baby bod??
I was training heavily when I fell pregnant with DD and was a perfectly sculpted 57kg which is my aim again now. DD is finally sleeping through and I'm feeling human again so want to get started as soon as possible. Was thinking of after school hols because easier without DS home, but might try get him on his scooter and go walking anyways and see what I can achieve. My goal is to get to running 4min Kms again and doing my intermittancy training on the bike (GREAT for toning up and loosing the last kilo or two).
Would love to be able to come on here for support and advice on my little weight loss journey - I have days where I really lack the motivation. Just have to get a good routine going and I'll be on the most part ok I think. I like the idea of the before and after pics too!!
So who will join me in here ??

DS2 will be 3 in december a day after your little ones birthday.
And well I am still trying to lose weight, well not at the moment as I have given up. I am currently sitting on the 60kgs and have decided that 56kgs, I will be happy with. I need to do a lot of toning of my stomach, buttocks and thighs, I love my arms and calves.
I really should take advantage of DH not working away anymore and should go for a run in the morning or arvo 3 or 4 times a week.

I am here and ready to go again.

Stomach, botbot and thighs are my main areas too!!! I usually don't have too much trouble with the stomach area, but I went to 42wks with DD and 9lb 11oz bub gave me a good stretch outward......lol......luckily the stretch marks aren't too bad though so hoping summer time will be able to get back into the bikini with confidence.
YAY! I'm going to start this week Monday! Then there's 2 wks of school hols but as I mentioned will still try and do something - even get on the stationary bike here at home.

I know what you mean about the stretching, with both my boys I went to 40wks so full term and DS1 was 8pd 6 and DS2 was 9pd 12. So I can sympathise there.
I have an exercise bike, thigh/leg master and we have a gym. But I haven't used them for say a bit over a month now. Just lost all motivation.

I was pretty lucky with DS - went to 5days overdue, but didn't get that big (just packed on the major body fat though - had almost 20kg to loose back then) he was 8lb 2oz. Time to dust off the old equipment I say!!! ;-)

Yeah thats what I am thinking.

With DS1 I put on 19kgs and DS2 put on 35kgs +, I stopped weighing myself, I started showing at 6wks so I was big right through.
I have made a promise with myself that if I do fall preggers again, I am NOT going to eat what I want and all the time.

YAY!! the more the merrier I say!! I'm going to chuck naughty temptations out today (not that there is much - Tues is my shopping day), but I'm keeping the scotch finger biscuits for my morning tea coffee!!! lol...............does anyone know how many calories you can have whilst breastfeeding and wanting to loose weight. I'm more than familiar with what to have when I'm not breastfeeding, but I think you're supposed to be careful and make sure you are having more than normal when b/f..........will do a quick research about it.
I have a head cold, but still going to start tomorrow........even if it's just a slightly heart rate raising walk.

    Found this:
Studies have shown that most healthy breastfeeding women maintain an abundant milk supply while taking in 1800-2200 (or more) calories per day. Consuming less than 1500-1800 calories per day (most women should stay at the high end of this range) may put your milk supply at risk, as may a sudden drop in caloric intake.

A mother's "baseline" need for calories (not including lactation) depends upon her activity level, weight and nutritional status. A mother who is less active, has more fat stores, and/or eats foods higher in nutritional value may need fewer calories than a mom who is more active, has fewer fat stores, and/or eats more processed foods.

An exclusively breastfeeding mother, on average, needs to take in 300-500 calories per day above what was needed to maintain pre-pregnancy weight. Since the recommended added calories during the last two trimesters of pregnancy is 300 calories/day, an exclusively breastfeeding mother will typically need either the same amount of calories she was getting at the end of pregnancy, or up to 200 additional calories per day. That's the equivalent of adding 1-2 healthy snacks per day.

Ok - hmm....I think I'll work out first what I have been having on an average daily basis and go from there.....says you shouldn't drop suddenly in calories, so maybe just a little bit and add some more nutritional foods with similar cals.
