This table from NSW Health covers it all just about. I've also heard not safe to eat unpasteurised honey (but the stuff you buy from the shops is fine). Print it out and stick it on your fridge!

You can still have thing in moderation. If you want a coffee have one, not 10 cups a day.

You can't eat cheese made from unpasteurised milk, which actually is pretty uncommon in Australia. So even though you are told not to eat soft cheeses most of them are fine because they are made from pasteurised milk.

Any salamis and cold meats should be cooked when you eat them, eg pepperoni pizza is fine if it's cooked well

So yeah just avoid raw meats etc

    Hi There,

I agree with everything on this thread. My Doctor put it really simply for me...

Make sure all forms of protien you consume is cooked or pasterised. So All meat/ seafood/ eggs to be cooked with heat and "not in the air" (like salami for example), and any diary products are also pasterised like Milk, cheeses, yoghurt etc. Also my Dr said jsut to maintain good food hygiene standards generally.

In terms of coffee. I went off coffee at the start but now have 1 - 2 cups of instant per day or 1 cup of instant and a cup of tea etc. I agree with the "everything in moderation"...I have eaten peperoni pizza and had a sip of wine (tasted gross though) and eaten fetta etc but not in huge quanitities.
