    Default Nursery brand names

Hello everyone, I am new to this site.

I am 18 weeks tomorrow and would like to start looking at nursery furniture for the mid year sales.

I am so confused I have no idea what brands are reliable !
I am looking at kingparrot and boori (boorie too expensive but nice) from what i've seen on the internet the kingparrot is the only one that makes change tables with side drawers, is that correct.

Can someone tell me what other brands I shold be looking at.

    THANKS VERY MUCH.

I'm probably not much use to you to be honest - i'm only 17 weeks and just starting to think about buying cots etc too.
Just thought i'd pop in and say hi - then i can see what the other posters have to say

Boori and Kingparrot are made by the same manufacturer....Boori is just a "chunkier" timber...more upmarket choice I guess.
Both are stunning and great quality.
Just a hint...I really wanted the Boori stuff as well but could not justify the price, so I bought most of my Boori furniture off Ebay - you save A LOT of money doing it this way...and in doing so, I was able to splurge a bit and buy the Boori Paddington cot new

I noticed my local Babies Galore had an ex floor stock showroom with Boori at least approx 25% off- new but scratched ex display. They had King Parrot as well as other brands... might be worth a look (hard to get matching stuff though).

Try some second hand places too - they have beautiful stuff at great prices, and everything has to meet safety guidelines.

DD's cot is the same cot I had, and is the same cot my Dad had. It's cast iron, powder-coated and sooooooo beautiful. Family heirlooms are awesome.

But my Mum got her a beautiful cot for when she has her sleepovers at a second hand place. It looks brand new, is absolutely stunning, and cost her $200 including the mattress. NICE.

Look out for sales, i know Baby on a budget had a big one recently. I have kingparrot and love it, got my cot on sale just over $400.
Also buy bulk if u can, if u buy a few items at a time (cot, change table, mattress etc) u will get a big discount.
Its personal choise though with brands, there are heaps out there. Maybe look on a baby shop near to where u live website? ull get a better idea about what brands/styles are out there then
Good luck! its so hard decideding on the right product that you love and will be right for u, i definatly recommend having a good look around before purchasing though

    Wow thanks everyone

I will try out some second hand stores two. Really have my heart set on kingparrot change table (the ones with the side drawers) 5 drawer chest and the boori ranch cot as well as the bookcase. I like the english oak and apparently they will all match as they are made by the same manufacturer.

Have blocked out the next 4 weekends to find places wiht mid year sales.

Thanks again ladies, so glad I found this site.
