    Default Ow...Sad news...

Hey guys. I found out last week that i am having another miscarriage. I was just 11 weeks and getting excited to be able to tell everyone soon. The worst thing is the doctor told me i just have to wait for the baby to pass and it could take about two weeks before it happens...I'm going to be so paranoid up until it happens, especially considering i have my uni exams for the next 3 weeks...

You know what, I deserve better. I will stand up and out of your shadow, I will feel the wind in my wings, I will learn to fly, you can stay and enjoy my freedom or leave, either way I was born to fly.

I'm so very sorry for your loss

Is there a medical reason why you can't elect to have a D & C rather than waiting for a spontaneous m/c? I found the waiting and uncertainty to be unbearable and it was nearly a relief to me to have the surgery for closure.

    Sending lots of

it seems rather crual to have to wait, especially with exams.

As difficult as D&C is to agree to it does help with closure & starting the grieving process. With my last m/c I had 9 long days of bleeding & pain and when that last u/s confirmed it was not viable, it was my OB who encouraged me to have the D&C the next day, as waiting was only going to be traumatic physically & emotionally.

My heart goes out to you. Good luck with whichever way you decide to go

Kara, my thoughts and prayers are with you at the moment, I imagine it must be just so difficult waiting for the inevitable...especially with exams.
Sending lots of hugs your way xox

    Talking Thanks everyone...

Just wanted to say a big huge thank you to everyone for their kind words. 3.5 weeks after being told i was going to have a miscarriage and still no bleeding or pain i went to a different doctor who told me i needed to go have an ultra sound. I did yesterday only to find that i am not having a miscarriage and i am 14 weeks and 4 days along. Everything is normal as are the babies measurements. That was a huge shock. my fiance and i were expecting a black sac of nothing like last time...
But now we are very confused as to why my hcg levels went so low? Is that normal? Has it ever happened to anyone else?
We are stoked, a great surprise!
I am going back to the doctor who sent me for an ultrasound today to find out what to do next...
    WOW what an emotional rollercoaster...
    Kara
