    Question Am I pregnant?

    Hello,

I really need your help and advise. My future husband and I (wedding is in 3 months) were planning to have a baby, but after 1.5 years of trying gave up and decided not to think about it until after the wedding.

I was late this month and after doing a test yesterday it came up with 2 lines. Needless to say I was in shock and shock tears were coming in all the directions. Straight after that test, I got another 2 tests from pharmacy (2 different brands) and tried them. Both came back as positive (2 lines). This morning test also came back with two easily readable lines within a minute of using it.

I think it confirms that I am pregnant, but my worry is that my last months period was really heavy and had blood bits in it too. I am not sure if that was some form of miscarege or just a very heavy period, and if it was a miscariage would I get such a clear positive results 5-6 weeks later and if it was a miscarege would I have known it (like intense pain)?

Please help, I have noone to ask here

congratulations! I'm not sure how last month's cycle will affect you, make an appointment to see your doctor asap, and have a chat with them.

    Good luck!

    CONGRATS

Well does sound like your def pg!
As for the AF, could just have been a very heavy one? More than likely, if you had a m/c - there would be some pain associated with it, but it could have been pain that was mistaken as period cramps.

There is a small chance that hcg levels can stay in your system for a while after a m/c but after that long can be very unlikely.

What you need to do is go and see your GP. Explain this to them and they will do a blood test and work out where your at in the pregnancy roughly. They can then repeat the test again in a few days and see if your hcg levels are rising. If they are, you should still be pg!!!!!!!!

Good luck with your wedding and bub,

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I am really freaking out even though this is a wanted pregnancy. I think it is fear of the unknown. I will make a doctors booking as soon as they open today.

I will let you know how it goes!

Yeah he found out straight away, because I came out crying and scared him, he thought something bad has happened He is really excited and happy about it... I just don't want to get his hopes up until I am defenately sure.

I have made doctors appointment for tomorrow at 2.20pm. Now the long wait begins...

Congratulations!! I think you are pregnant.

If your last AF was pretty well on time then, even if you were pg and it was a m/c, you wouldn't have had that much hcg in your system and it would almost certainly have gone back to nothing since then. Even if a very small amount remained, it wouldn't give you a strong positive.

    Good luck at the dr.

Hi girls, this is my update:

I have visited my GP and was sent to do some blood tests. I just got a phone call. I tis confirmed that I am pregnant and have 1138 hcg (according to the nurse, not sure exactly what that means). Doctor said I am about 5 weeks pregnant !!!
