mummies of toddler+ multiples..HELP ME!!!!

I am seriously going NUTS!!

I have DS1 who will be 4 next month and DD&DS2 who are 2...and basically I need another one of me!!!

It was all fine and dandy when they were little and just went in the pram/carrier etc..but NOW they all run in three seperate directions and it seem like they play off of each other.

..went shopping today with the MIL, but no-one wanted to hold her hand so I had DD on my hip, DS2 by the hand with the same arm and DS1 by the other han. I have a crappy twin stroller (big ABC buggy is too big for the shops) but the boys are getting too big for it...I contemplated buying another (sold my old ones) single stroller to put one in and have the otherf two hold the pram??

I don't know - basically having a big whinge and a vent because they are at an age where "they wanna do it themselves"...they are kinda getting the hang of TT..one step forward and two back...fighting!!! - hitting biting yelling...throwing little tanties and are developing selective hearing, getting into stuff (we are crashing with the PIL atm)!!
Bedtime has become a night mare ..one jumps up and RUNS off, when I go to collect them the other wants to go to the toilet (false distraction!), I tuck one in - the other gets up again, They ALL (x3) sing out "sit with Meeeeeee, sit with meeeee" ....aaarrrgghhhhhh!!



I don't really know what exactly I am asking....give me some hints or coping strategies PLEASE as my patience is running quite thin

If it makes you feel any better that will be me in 2.5yrs. Lol.

What about getting them each an animal bag that has the super long tail/handle you can hang onto?
Give them a choice (both in your favor), they either put their bags on & you hold their tail or they stay in the car... Not that you would leave them in the car.

DS2 has the monkey one and DD has the froggy one!! they help 'sometimes'...depending on their mood - it still doesn;t really help them running off when they get it in their system to do so...I end up all tangled up some days.

it's not the same EVERY day..just lately it seems to be getting worse and i'm getting frustrated!!

hi fiveinthebed, I managed to keep them all together just because I said they had to stay with me. That sounds simple, and Im not sure if i am remembering correctly. I had four under six years, three under two for a couple of months. I remember just making sure all the time that I had all the kids with in arms reach. I did have a monster of a twin pram but it was far too big, it was for walking, when it was folded down I couldnt lift it into a car. When all three were walking well I managed with a smaller pram, and I had to use a harness to stop them climbing out of the pram. It was hard work, but I think I just made it a rule. If anyone left my side they got in trouble and if I had to turn around and go back home then I did so. good luck, Marie.

..and I said something very similar to the MIL yesterday, I kept saying " if you touch one more time we will go home, etc etc " basically an empty threat (and I KICK myself for it..said I'd NEVER do it)..because I didn't follow through..
We have to drive a fair distance to get to the shopping centre (and it chews a fair bit of juice) to get all the way there, and then turn around and come back without what we went for!! IYKWIM it is a waste of monet , time, and effort...
I have tried the ole.." if you all walk nicely without running and touching you can have a lollipop for the car ride home" (basic bribery) and it worked once or twice...

Think I am just gonna go back to leaving them at home with dad or mil and just take one at a time so they can learn to walk nicely ( it just seems to hard to have myself divided atm)

I've got an almost 4 year old and twins who are nearly 2.

When I go out the twins go in the Twin Valco Runabout and my nearly 4 year old is confined to the skateboard I have on the back.

We're only just getting to the "I want to do it" stage. Now you're starting to scare me!

Your post sounds exactly like me ha ha i am also going crazy and some days just want to pull my hair out lol.

I have 4 daughters the oldest is 3 and a half , i have 2 two year olds and a 10 month old baby.
My Twins have got to that stage of wanting to EVERYTHING them selfs and i mean everything lol there favourite words being " NO ME DO IT " lol

I dont have much advice cause i am learning all this myself lol being consistant helps and trying to bring in a disapline routine in which is very hard with twins i find lol, with my girls if i put one in time out the other one thinks it looks like fun so sits with her lmao

We have one of those valcro twin prams its heavy and huge cause we also have a toddler seat on it and my 3 year old sits on top of the vidsos hood things lol

Sorry, i've only just found this - i'm still catching up! I jsut have to add, that it sounds really painful, and you NEED a solution soon, as I was planning on learning lots from you to make it easier whenI get to that stage . I am honestly not looking fwd to that stage, as DS is just overe 2 now, and I have enough trouble with just one that age. We had a nigthmare shopping trip on Saturday, and ended up having to have 2yo DS in the pram. How heavy are the twins? Is it possible to fit them in a Phil and Ted? (smallest needs to be no more than15kg - biggest no more than 25kg). It was what i used before the bubbas arrived, and after saturdays outing, I am going to use it oer the twin stroller ofr a while, with Nick and one baby in it, the other in a sling. Your kidides might be a bit too big for it now though. Just thought i'd mention it, as nick is no-where near ready walking in shops yet, so i'm going to have to use it, or not take them anywhere!

...I am obviously not the multiple mummy you ask for advive hey!!??...please don't be put off by me future twin mums!! I think it was just a phase/stage. sorry if I scared anyone!!

I didn't mention that we have just moved 1200km, are crashing with the ILs and really out of whack...it is taking it's time , but I think we are getting there!

We had a trip the other day ( my bad because it was getting close to lunch/feral time) and they would NOT sit in the pram, would NOT put on their harnesses, would NOT stand let alone walk, were climbing all over me and the car...MIL standing back with a look of fright on her face!! - so I gave them ONE warning.."in the pram or we go home" ...we went home!! 15minutes of screaming all the way home, wasted petrol time etc..BUT ....next shopping expedition [on my own!!]..they happily put on their harnesses, asked to hold my hand *falling over with shock*...DD wanted to be carried but I was cool with that..then we found a trolley and we had a mix of walking/ sitting in trolley...HAPPY..PEACEFUL...OMG!!
if they started to carry on the "car and home" threat came out...worked well - and I just had to give them a little lollipop for being sooooo well behaved (funny- I was just out the front of Big W unwrapping them, looked over to see two other mums doing exactly the same thing!!...must've been the 'lollipop unwrapping station')


was thinking about trying my ABC buggy in the car again..it is bigger but easier to manage strangely enough than the double stroller.

I do like it when they walk though, uses up more energy!! and they go to bed easier!!
