    Wink Babies are BORING!!! LOL

I wish DS would hurry up and wake up! He's only been awake for a grand total of 2 hours since 9pm last night... one hour of that was feeding, and the other hour was while I was napping and DP looking after him.

This morning I changed his nappy, got him dressed, took him out to the car (in the rain!!!), drove down to the mechanics, hung around for over an hour in a noisy waiting room while my car was serviced, and drove back home again... all without him waking up at all!

A couple of weeks ago I was getting more time with him while he was awake when he'd be interested in stuff, but this week he seems to be on a sleeping jag!

I should feel lucky... but he's BORING cause all he does is sleep! LOL

But... on a more serious note... at what age do they start to wake up a little more???

    I so agree with Kema!

Gosh I wish my son slept like that as a newborn, I thought I was going to kill myself in an accident due to sleep deprivation for the first 13 months of his life!

They usually start waking up at around the 3 month mark. They start to become really fun around then.

Then they reach the age of 1 and you have to start begging them to go to sleep.

Don't wish sleepless days and night upon your self. My son doesnt sleep at all during the day and hes only 3 months old. How id so love a couple of hours shut eye. I think the answer to your question completely depends on each individual baby, but in saying that around 3-4 months of age i am told is when you get a good solid couple of hours with them. I could be wrong though, as each bub to their own... And none of them come with a manual!

Or he could just be having his 6 week growth spurt! It was to only time my bubba slept during the day, and he had it a week or so early! So might only be for a week or 2 and then ull have ur active little bubba back!

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm still getting the broken nights, cause he feeds every couple of hours, but then he's straight back to sleep again, and does the really BIG sleeps during the day where he'll go 4-5 hours without waking for food.

I need to get him to swap his days and nights I reckon! LOL

Growth spurt might explain it though!

Ah same. I was like the living dead and I co slept. My son was a sleepy newborn for a grand total of 2 days. I hear its about 2-3 months for most babies.

Oh I saw a woman at church who had a newborn and asked how things were. She said oh she's only 20days old so not giving me much trouble, I just about passed out lol.

I had a non-sleeper last time for the first 6 weeks, she'd only sleep for 30mins at a stretch.

It's hard getting used to a sleepy one... I've only recently stopped checking him after every hour in case something was wrong!

    !
Sounds just like Aidan. Sometimes it was only for 10 minutes. I just left him on the boob all day lol. Was the only way I could get some rest. When he wasn't boobing he was crying or playing, not sleeping Ahh the joys of an alert baby lol.
