DH and I watched it a few weeks back ( I would LOVE to read the rest of the series, but two kiddies wont let me!)

We enjoyed it, however, cannot for the life of us understand the hysteria surrounding it Millions are falling in love with a FICTIONAL character and live and breath it?? Weird LOL

We'll just wait for the next one to come on DVD as well.

I'm so sick of hearing about this movie, it's like a cult or something, I'll see a status on facebook pop up saying "saw twilight and LOVED it!" blah blah and then they start doing all those quizzes like "whos your twilight soulmate" etc. WTF?!

Haven't seen it, don't want to see it, will NOT be seeing it, and will scream at the next person who tells me ooh but you will love it!

I loved the books and can't stop reading them but I was really disappointed in the movie. I bought it as soon as it came out, without having seen it beforehand. I was looking forward to seeing what happened in the book on the screen but that's not the way it was - the movie didn't follow the book very much at all. Some of the same things happened in the movie but they didn't happen in the same way as they did in the book - if that makes sense?

I'm not really looking forward to seeing the rest of the movies, but I will in the vain hope that they miraculously get better I keep watching Twilight over and over, hoping to find SOME SMALL redeeming quality to the film but I'm continuously disappointed.

*Amethyst* - you won't like the movie, but you will LOVE the book *ducks for cover*

    I thought it was rubbish.

I'm 23, so not far off being a teenager and am fine to watch teen movies, but it seemed even too old for teenagers. Maybe for those under 14 it would have been okay, but it was just pathetic.

I didn't believe there was love. I didn't believe there was even lust or a slight emotional connection.

And changing the vampire rules completely? How lame. You can't say vampires can go in the sun... but choose not to because they sparkle. Pfft. That was... ridiculous.

I won't be reading the books. I don't care if they're better, even if they're better, the breaking of vampire rules and the general jist of the story was... boring and lame.

My best friend has watched it 8 times and just finished reading the series...I however, found it pretty "blah" and am hoping that when I read the book it improves my opinion of it...

I did want to poke my eyes out with a fork, but put up with it for the sake of hoping it was going to get better... sadly, it didn't...but it was a "nice" story, just not what I expected.
